The Ultimate Guide to Contested Zones and Executive Hangar

Below are maps created/compiled by Terada https://www.youtube.com/teradatv

Overview

  • Contested Zones (CZs) in Pyro 4.0 are high-risk PvP/PvE areas, requiring strategic planning, teamwork, and efficient execution.
  • Players traverse three CZs to collect 7 Modules:
    1. Checkmate Station
    2. Orbituary Station
    3. Ruin Station (Ghost Arena)
  • Modules are deposited in the Executive Hangar, granting access to an exclusive account-bound ship and Grade A/B ship components.

Key Objectives

  1. Collect 7 Modules:
    • Modules unlock the final reward in the Executive Hangar.
    • Checkmate Station: Modules #1, #2, #3.
    • Orbituary Station: Modules #4, #7.
    • Ruin Station (Ghost Arena): Modules #5, #6.
  2. Overcome Challenges:
    • Fight NPCs and rival players.
    • Manage limited resources like Red/Blue Keycards and Fuses.
  3. Secure Rewards:
    • Unique ship with exclusive skin and Military/Stealth components.
    • FPS weapons, gear, and ship upgrades.

Preparation

  1. Stockpile Resources:
    • Red Keycards (Supervisor Doors): Found at Supervisor Outposts (Pyro 3 L4, L5). Terminals have a 30-minute cooldown.
    • Blue Keycards (Security Doors): Fabricated at stations (15-minute cooldown).
    • Fuses: Essential for unlocking Fuse Doors. Bring extras.
  2. Plan for PvP:
    • CZs are high-traffic zones for PvP. Bring a well-coordinated team for safety.
  3. Set Respawn Points:
    • Choose nearby stations as respawn locations to avoid downtime.
  4. Bring Tools:
    • Tractor Beams for loot extraction.
    • Weapons and Ammo suitable for both NPCs and PvP engagements.

Lore and Flavor

Datapads: Scattered across zones, hinting at systemic collapse and cult activity.

Fire Rats: A fanatical cult practicing extreme rituals.

Executive Hangar: Built by Pyrotechnic Amalgamated, plagued by engineering flaws due to proximity to Pyro’s star.
